Found in Taiwan on montane slopes on tree trunks in montane forests at elevations of 2100 to 2300 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a simple, pendulous, pale green to brownish green, glabrous stem enveloped by persistent leaf sheaths carrying 8 to 10, distichous, sessile, oblong to linear-oblong, obtuse to rounded apically, obtuse basally, fleshy, smooth, potted brown red on both surfaces leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an axillary, peduncle .16 to .22" [5 to 5.5 mm] long, fleshy, green, with some scattered red spots, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying pink tinged with pale yellow, unscented flowers.
