Found in Assam, India, Thailand and Sumatra on grassy ledges at elevations around 900 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with clustered, large smooth pseudobulbs tapering above into a thin stem carrying 2 apical leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, few to several flowered inflorescence carrying creamy white flowers
