Found in Western Australia at elevations of 5 to 200 meters in Jarrah forests and she-oak woodlands often near swamps as a small to large sized, cold growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with an erect leafless, slender, fleshy to wiry, 10 to 26" [25 to 65 cm] long stem carrying 5 to 25, tubular, pendant flowers occuring in the spring and early summer.
