Common Name The Fragrant Gavilea
Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]
Found in Argentina and Chile at elevations around 1200 to 1300 meters as a large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a few basal leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 12 to 14" [30 to 35 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence with very fragrant flowers.
