Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in the Serra do Cipo in rocky fields on Velozia gigantea in highlands as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an ovoid pseudobulb carrying 4 to 5, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the early summer on a basal, pendent, 1.6" [4 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence.
