Found in Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations around 800 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with ovate to oblong, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, lanceoalte leaves that blooms on a semi-erect, 4 to 5.2" [10 to 13 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered racemose inflorecscence.
