Common Name The Arched Gongora

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm] wide

Found in Meta department of Colombia in primary rainforest at elevations around 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid, longitudinally sulcate pseudobulbs envelooped basally in youth by scarious, evanescent sheaths and carrying 2, apical, elliptic-lanceolate, plicate, prominently 5 nerved leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a pendant, to 20" [50 cm] long, laxly to 18 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
