Found in Napo Ecuador in wet montane forests most often near streams and rivers at elevations around 950 to 1100 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clear green, ovate, ribbed, pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect, plicate, dark green, narrowly elliptic, acuminate, narrowing below intothe shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on a pendent, to 12" [30 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence and carrying fragrant color variable flowers.
