Common Name The Slim-Lipped Gongora
Often cited as a synonum of Gongora quinquenervis, I feel there are substantial differences to keep them separate, mostly slimmer, smaller flowers with a distinct, diferently shaped hump on the epichile, a different base of the hypochile as the horns hang down and curve forward and have a triangular base. If they are separate this name G stenoglossa is often cited as a synonym of G galeottiana, but I will put both their synonyms here at this time.
Synonyms Gongora fulva var. vitellina Lindl. 1841; Gongora galeottiana A.Rich. 1845; Gongora luteola Stein 1892; Gongora vitellina Rchb.f. 1854
