Flower Size 1/2" [1.2 cm]
Found in Borneo, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaysia, Sulawesi and Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations around 1100 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with an upright leafy stem carrying 4 to 6, ovate, acuminate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate, broadening base leaf that envelops the stem which blooms in the fall on a terminal, hairless, 3 to 4.4" [7 to 11 cm] long, 15 flowered inflorescence with leafy, lanceolate, acute floral bracts with successive opening flowers
