Found in Sabah Borneo in rocky areas near waterfalls in mixed lower montane forests on mossy trees in deep shade at elevations of 1400 to 2700 meters as asmall sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 3 to 6, broadly ovate-elliptic, acuminate, thin textured, green with fine white reticulation on the upper surface, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, conical to oblong, shortly pedunculate, 1 to 2.2" [2.5 to 5.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with slightly surpassing the flowers in length floral bracts and carrying musky scented flowers.
Distinguished from others in Borneo by the much broader, ovate-elliptic leaves with only fine white reticulate veins on the upper surface, a shorter, more condensed conical to oblong inflorescence on a rather short peduncle and the flowers have a shorter, stouter column.
