Found in Sabah Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short, descending, slightly compressed stem carrying 3 to 5, in a descending fan, ligulate, often subfalcate, externally keeled, green, tapering towards an unequally bilobed apex, lobules narrow, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a lateral, from the stem below the leaves, spreading, peduncle .48 to .8" [1.2 to 2 cm] long, basally muriculate grey brown to maroon, graduating to green apically, provided with 2 to 3 enveloping basal scales, .96 to 1.32" [2.4 to 3.3 cm] long overall, rachis .12 to .4" [.3 to 1 cm] long, swollen, green with brown marks, verrucose, successively single, to 11 flowered inflorescence with spreading, patelliform, thick, obtuse, persistent, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying ephemeral, odorless flowers.
