GROUP Quispei

Characterized by monopodial branching stems with the new ones arising from a subapical internode of the previous stem, the lack of spathaceous bracts, 1 to 2 bracts on the peduncle, a racemose inflorescence carrying star-shaped flowers with the petals somewhat narrower than the sepals and a deeply cordiform and acute lip.
