Found in New Caledonia in rainforests or along streams at elevations of 200 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an erect stem envelopepd completely by leaf sheath bases carrying narrowly elliptic, aubacute, apically unequally bilobed leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter on an axillary, .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence
