Part Sun Cool Cold Summer

Common Name The Alpine Habenaria

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in DF, Goias, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations around 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, thin stem carrying 3, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, plicate leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence with long-lanceolate, as long as the ovary floral bracts.

CAUTION!! Some references refer H melanopoda as a synonym of this species but I have kept it separate for now.
