Common Name The Andaman Habenaria

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in the Andaman Islands as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with globose tubers giving rise to 3 to 4, ovate-lanceolate, acute, sessile leaves crowded towards the middle of the stout stem that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, terminal, racemose, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
