Common Name The Ear-Like Lobe Habenaria [refers to the lobes of the lip]

Found in western Sumatra at elevations around 2000 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, the lower 14.8" [36 cm] long carrying obtuse, 1.2" [3 cm] long, tubular bracts , the upper 10.4" [26 cm] long stem carrying 6 to 7, laxly spaced, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, shortly acuminate, obtuse, but with a long mucro, basally shortly narrowing into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, peduncle to 2.6 to 3.2" [6.5 to 8 cm] long, rachis to 4.8" [12 cm] long, laxly 14 to 15 flowered inflorescence carrying flowers that face in all directions and pointing downwards.
