Found in southeastern Madagascar at elevation around 1500 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, basal glabrous, slightly pubescent beneath the inflorescence, simple, leafy throughout stem carrying 2 basal; leaves reduced to sheaths, 4 to 5, above, glabrous, prominent median vein beneath, well developed limb leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, simple, loose, ,sparsely several flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers.
Differs from all other Madagascan species by the floral characteriztics. The shape of the lip, length of the spur, pubescene of the sepals, spur and ovary differ from all others. Found only once in a xerophilous thicket of Didiereaceae.
