Found in Tarija Bolivia at elevations aound 2200 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect, terete, stem carrying several, spreading, oblong to oblong-ligulate, obtuse to subacute leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, to 3.6" [9 cm] long, sublaxly to subdensely 15 to 25 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, as long as the ovary floral bracts
