Found in Zimbabwe and Transval South Africa in open sunny grasslands at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with cauline, spreading, narrowly oblong to linear-lanceolate, acute to attenuate, grading smaller above leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a terminal, erect, moderately lax, 12 to 35 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts that are longer than the flowers
