Found in Parana state of Brazil as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, straight, glabrous stem carrying 3 to 5, from the base to 1/3 of the stem, erect-patent, lanceolate to lanceolate-linear, acute to acuminate leaves with the next 1/3 of the stem enveloped by decreasing in size bracts and blooms in the summer through early fall on the upper 1/3 of the stem on a 1.2 to 3.2" [3 to 8 cm] long, cylindrical, many flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, more or less as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying glabrous flowers.
