Common Name

Flower Size .32 to .48" [.8 to 1.2cm]

Found in Mexico and Morelos states of Mexico in pine/oak forests or pine/fir forests at elevations of 2750 to 2900 meters as a miniature to just medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with an elliptic to ovoid, subteranean tuber giving rise to 4 to 6, elliptic-lanceolate, ascending to adpressed, revolute margins, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, racemose, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts
