Common Name The Coeloglossum Like Habenaria

Found in Zaire, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda in upland grassslands at elevations around 2500 to 3600 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with rather flexuous stems carrying 4 to 7, scatttered, lowest 1 to 2 sheath-like, middle ones, oblong-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, acute, grading smaller above leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, erect, 2 to 4.4" [5 to 11 cm] long, 5 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, lower ones equal to, to longer than the flowers.

Most like H obovata in habit and flower. and the sepals and petals are very similar to H epipactidea but the column and lip structure are very different.
