Common Name The Commelina-Like Leafed Habenaria - In China Fu E Yu Feng Hua - In Thailand Chuang Kham Dok Khao

Flower Size .6" to .8" tall [1.5 to 2cm]

Found in the western Himalayas, Assam, eastern Himalayas, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in grassy areas of forests at elevations around 375 to 2000 meters as a large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial orchid with ellipsoid tubers giving rise to a stem with 2 to 3 loose sheaths and carrying, scattered, oblong-lanceolate, acute margins, pale to white leaves that blooms in the later summer and early fall on an erect, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, laxly many flowered, racemose inflorescence with erect, almost as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers
