Common Name The Mosquito-Like Habenaria [refers to the small flower size]

Found in Norte de Santander department of Colombia and Venezuela at elevations around 2600 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect slender stem carrying 7 to 8, narrowly lanceoalte, acute, decreasing in size above, leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, [14 cm] long, subdensely to densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, subulate, just shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small flowers.

Rchb.f stattes the the flows are some what larger than the flowers of H parviflora
