Found in the Central African Republic, Cameroon, Congo, Zaire, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda at elevations of 600 to 1400 meters in grasslands as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, slender, leafy throughout stem carrying 7 to 10, the lower 5 to 7 erect to suberect, linear to lanceolate-linear, acute, grading smaller above, lanceolate, adpressed to the stem leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 2.8 to 6.4" [7 to 16 cm] long, rather loosely 9 to 30 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
