Common Name The Hay-Like Stem Habenaria

Found in Guyana, Fr Guiana, Surinam and northern Brazil as a small to just medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with subterranean, ellipsoid tubers giving rise to an erect, thin, glabrous stem carrying 4 to 5, erect, longly adpressed to the stem, free part short, straight linear, acute, grading to bracts above leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, 4" [10 cm] long, erect, secund, laxly 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with ereect, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, more or less as long as the ocvary floral bracts
