Found in Zaire and Zambia in seasonally damp, open, sandy grasslands at elevations around 1400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with ovoid to ellipsoid tubers giving rise to erect, slender stems carrying about 11, lanceolate, acute, white with green reticulation, decreasing in size above leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, terminal, 6" [15 cm] long, fairly lax, 16 to 30 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts
