Common Name Finet's Habenaria - In China Chi Pian Yu Feng Hua
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in western Sichuan and northwestern and central Yunnan provinces of China in forests and grasslands at elevations of 2000 to 3500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with oblong, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, glabrous stem carrying 2 to 3, below the middle, cordate to ovate, acute leaves and grading into 1 to 4 bract-like leaves above that blooms in the later summer and early fall on an erect, 1.5 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, 2 to 8 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, nearly as long as the ovary, acuminate apically floral bracts.
