Common Name The Flamengo Habenaria [A district of Rio de Janiero and Beaches

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Bahia, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations around 1200 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped mostly by leaf bearing sheaths grading larger above, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on an erect, terminal, 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, longer than the ovary, acute floral bracts.
