Found in southwestern Guangxi and southern Yunnan provinces of China as well as Myanmar in forests at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing terrestrial with oblong, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, terminal, terete, glabrous, stem carrying 3 to 5, below the middle, oblong-lanceolate, acute apically, amplexicaul below into the base leaves grading above into the bracts that blooms in the later summer and early fall on a terminal, erect, about 2.4" [6 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, as long or longer than the flowers floral bracts and carrying yellow to yellowish brown flowers.
