Found in Ethiopia in grassy areas among cultivaterd fields and in wet evergreen bushlands at elevations of 2100 to 2300 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a leafy, erect stem carrying 3 to 5, lowermost sheath-like, largest at the middle of the stem, oblong, acute leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, 5.6 to 6.4" [14 to 16 cm] long, 9 to 11 flowered inflorescence with lanceoilate, decreasing in size above floral bracts and carrying pale green flowers.
