Common Name The Glaucous Habenaria

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Bahia, Goias, DF, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco and Sao Paulo states of Brazil in gallery forests and dry forests as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte with a very short erect stem enveloped by 3 to 4, basal, rosulate, elliptic-oblong, apically abruptly acute and slightly cuspid, glaucous, membraneous, 5 nerved, attenuate below into the base leaves that blooms in the later summer and early fall on a terminal, erect, 4 to 5 bracted, 1.6 to 2.8" [4 to 7 cm] long, laxly 4 to 9 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, slightly shorter than the ovary floral bracts

A short leafed variewty of the previous species that also has floral differnces.
