LATE EARLY

Common Name Godefroy's Habenaria [French Trader in South East Asia 1800's]

Flower Size .72" [1.8 cm]

Found in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam in evergreen oak forests at elevations of 250 to 900 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect, glabrous stem carrying 2 to 3, cauline, scattered in the lower half of the stem, narrowly elliptic-oblong, subacute leaves grading above into 2 to 4, semi-erect to spreading, narrowly lanceolate, sterile bracts that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 12 to 14,4" [30 to 36 cm] long overall, rachis 2 to 3.8" [5 to 12 cm] long, laxly, 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate to ovate, acuminate, shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
