Common Name Gustavo Edwall's Habenaria [Swedish Orchid Collector in Brazil 1900's]

Found in Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Rio do Sul and Santa Catarina states of Brazil in higher elevation grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths carrying linear-lanceolate, acuminate, erect-patent, three nerved, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the later summer through early fall on an erect, terminal, 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, several to many flowered inflorescence.
