Common Name The One Part Lip Habenaria [Lip has no side lobes]

Found in Kenya, Angola and Malawi in wet montane grasslands at elevations of 1900 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an ellipsoid tuber giving rise to a leafy erect stem carrying 4 to 7, lowermost 1 to 2 mostly sheathing, the others linear, whitish, with dark green reticulation on the leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect laxly 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, longer than the ovaries floral bracts.
Differs from other Habenaria in west Central Africa by the narrow, grass-like leaves.
