Flower Size 1.1 to 1.52" [2.6 to 3.8 cm]
Found in Thailand and Laos in deciduous forests in limestone crevasses at elevations of 900 to 2000 meters as a large to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 6 to 10, cauline, scattered all along the middle of the stem, elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, mucronate leaves grading above into 6, the lower spreading, above erect, lanceolate, acuminate sterile bracts that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on an erect, to 3'4" [100 cm] long, semi-dense, many flowered inflorescence with a 12.4" [31 cm] long rachis with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts
