Found in Bahia, Goias, DF, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil in humid grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by linear, acute, grading larger then smaller above leaves that blooms in the fall and earlier winter on a terminal, erect, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with leaf-like, imbricate, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, as long as the flowers floral bracts.
Characterized by the imbricate leaves, the small flowers the dorsal sepal .152 to .2" [3.8 to 5 mm] long, the imbricate bracts that completely cover the inflorescence.
