Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in dry grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by linear-acuminate, slightly patent, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 4" [10 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate-acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
