Found in Java and Mt Kinabalu Borneo in montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a medium to just large sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with dark stems carrying 7 to 9, well spaced, high above the ground, lanceolate, long acute, pale green, darker veined leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, densely to 40 flowered inflorescence with unpleasantly scented flowers
