Found in Venezuela, Santander department of Colombia and Ecuador in grasslands at elevations around 1675 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, basal, spread, subsessile, in a rosette, ovate-lanceolate to oblong-obovate, acute to subobtuse, the upper 4 to 6 considerably smaller leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, [6.5 to 9 cm] long, loosely 6 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate as long as to somewhat longer than the ovary floral bract.
