Found in Hong Kong in humid forests and grasslands at elevations of 200 to 700 meters as a small to just medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with oblong, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, terete, slender stem carrying 3 to 6, lanceolate to linear, acuminate to acute apically, contracted below into the amplexicaul base leaves and grading above into 2 to 5, bract-like leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an erect, [8 to 14], 8 to 19 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, longer than the ovary, acuminate apically floral bracts.
