Found in the Philippines near streams in montane forests at elevations up to 1400 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by sheathing bracts and carrying thin, crowded around the middle of the stem, lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a terminal, erect, 2.8" [7 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying greenish white flowers
