Common Name The Long Box Habenaria

Flower Size .8 to .88" [2 to 2.2 cm] wide

Found in northern Thailand in evergreen forests at elevations around 960 to 1550 meters as a medium to just large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with erect stems carrying 4 to 6, cauline, clustered in the lower third of the stem, broadly elliptic lanceolate, acuminate, mucronate leaves grading above into 4 to 6, suberect to spreading, lanceolate, acuminate, margins sometimes shortly hairy sterile bracts that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, glabrous, 22.8 to 26" [57 to 65 cm] long, lax, 30 to 35 flowered inflorescence with a 12 to 14" [30 to 35 cm] long rachis and lanceolate, acuminate, margins shortly hairy floral bracts.
