Common Name The Large Horned Habenaria
Flower Size 2.2" [5.5 cm]
Found in Florida USA, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Fr Guiana and Surinam as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped completely by leaf sheaths carrying oblong-lanceolate to oblong-ovate, acute to acuminate, decreasing in size upwards leaves that blooms in the later summer on an erect, terminal, to 12" [30 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with leafy, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts
Differs from H quinqueseta in the longer spur.
