Common Name The Large Inflorescence Habenaria

Found in India and Sri Lanka in tropical wet, evergreen forests in shade at elevations around 542 to 1250 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped below by shaeths, carrying crowded, from the middle and above, oblanceolate, acute, broadly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, equal to the ovary floral bracts and carrying whitish green flowers with a purple brown lip.
