Common Name The Golden Yellow Habenaria - In China Dian Nan Yu Feng Hua
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in China, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar and Thailand in deciduous forests, grasslands and at forest margins at elevations of 100 to 1200 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with small cylindric tubers giving rise to a reduced and sub-scapigerous stem carrying a few sub-radical, sessile, oblong to linear-oblong, yellow margined leaves grading above into 2 to 5, lanceolate, acuminate sterile bracts that blooms in the summer on a 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with many erect, ovate-lanceolate, acute, as long as the ovary floral bracts.
