Common Name The Montivideo Habenaria [The Capitol of Uruguay]
Flower Size .75" [1.8 cm]
Found in southern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina at elevations of 1700 to 2200 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erectthin, pale green, several leaved stem enveloped completely by three nerved, oblong to lanceolate, acute to acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 1.2 to 4" [3 to 10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with erect to erect-patent, lanceolate, long-acuminate floral bracts and carrying erect-patent, clear green flowers.
