Common Name The Straight Spur Habenaria

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in northern Zambia in very wet swamp forest at elvations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an ovoid tuber giving rise to an erect, slender, glabrous,leafy stem carrying 10 to 16, elliptic-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute, spreading, decreasing in size above, leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 6.4 to 8" [16 to 20 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence with glabrous, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Similar to H amoena but differs in the spur being twice as long as the pedicel and ovary.
