Common Name The Parana Habenaria [A state of southern Brazil]

Found in Brazil and Paraguay at elevations around 1200 to 1900 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by imbricating, triangular, loose sheaths grading above into, oblong, obtuse, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, 4 to 6" [10 to 15 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, variable in size, acuminate, longer than the flowers below, as long as the ovary above floral bracts
